Vodafone and Spotify

Hi 

 

I recently upgraded with Vodafone and have Spotify free for 24 months. I already have Spotify premium.

 

They have sent me a link to activate the promotion but every time I try it gives the following message ' we're worry but we couldn't complete your subscription request. Please try again later and if the problem persists visit our FAQs for more info'.

 

I have spoken to Vodafone numerous times and they are no help, they keep resetting my account and now are telling me its activated however my Spotify account is still showing as I will be paying £9.99.

 

I cannot find another thread recently for this specific problem and I have just emailed Spotify support but wondered if anyone could be of any help before I hear back, this has been going on for weeks!

Hi there @Niddlynoo. As far as getting this resolved, your best bet will be from support. If you haven't heard back from them in 24-48 hours after getting in touch with them, please let me know and we can see what we can do to get you in touch. Best of luck!

Hi I got the entertainment pack with Vodafone for Spotify an its been great but I accidentally deleted it. Of my phone I now I can't retrieve it back Vodafone have reset my account twice an I still can't get my package free for 24 months back please can any one help me with this thank you

I've still not heard anything back from support. I've had a google and I think I may need to cancel my subscription and then try and use my Vodafone code? Does that sound right?

@jesusisLord Unfortunately I don't know much about the Vodafone plan. Are you having trouble logging into your account, or do you just not have premium?

 

@Niddlynoo Sorry that support hasn't gotten back to you yet. That does sound like the most likely solution however, so I'd suggest going forward with it.

I still have had no reply from support and so i have messaged again. The other idea didnt work and vodafone are being as helpful as ever!

 

I have a spotify account which i pay for premium on, I then upgraded my phone with free spotify from vodafone and have been trying to activate the free spotify ever since. I keep getting an error message saying they cannot complete my subcription request at the time and if the problem persists to look at the faq!

 

At a loss on what to do as no one seems to know whats going on 😞

Hi @Niddlynoo. I believe that @osornios may know more than I do on this matter. Hopefully he'll be able to provide insight where I cannot.

You need to cancel your current Premium subscription, so your account becomes Free again.

 

Once that happens, you will be able to use your link to activate the promotion.

 

To cancel and delete your payment info do the following:

 

1. Go to your Subscription and payment overview --> http://spotify.com/account/subscription/

2. Click UPDATE DETAILS. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.

3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

 
Note: If you have your Premium active you won't be able to remove your payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before clicking UPDATE DETAILS.
 
You will still be Premium until the remaining days of your subscription are used up.
Once that happens, you will become Free and you'll be ready to use your link. 🙂
