To start... United States customer, United States student.
Ok I have premium service my renewal is early march so I have time to submit my student verify info.
T&Cs of student offer state if I verify early my current month completes and then my discounted monthly premium begins.
I meet all requirements.
I've seen all threads with tutorials on how merge account, BUT after clicking through "Upgrade to Premium" link on student page, and then logging in, I don't get a verify screen... instead I get my main account splash screen.
I thought problem was (Possibly?) my payment method since it was Paypal, so I changed it to a CC.
No change.
Happy with service but I am starting to get ticked that there's no real CS for Spotify.
I could not find an email address or phone number anywhere on the Spotify website.... but sourced an email address searching online that I will try. I hope I never have a serious billing or account issue.
I still wanted to post something here in case my emailing attempts are futile and for the next person that may be ripping out their hair trying to solve the same problem.

I am actually running into the same issue. Already was on premium then found out about the student discount. Attempted to sign up and I get redirected to the Account Overview page. This issue was replicated in Chrome and Firefox, and it did not matter if I was already logged in or not.
Hoping this gets resolved soon.
Update: Issue is also replicated in Internet Explorer.
