When i sign in using facebook, it comes up with someone else's email and username!

I am getting very tired of emailing spotify using the contact form and getting no reply. 

when i sign in using facebook, it comes up with someone else's account details! my name is kat and it comes up with xxfebixx 😕

also it is not my email address it is signing in with, so when i am contacting spotify, they ignore the message telling them to email back using my email address and must be replying to the one it signs in with. 

as it is logging in, it says welcome kat, then the username changes to febi. it is connected to my facebook as when i am listening to a song, it comes up on my facebook page. 

as you can imagine, this is very frustrating as i have emailed spotify 6 times now and no reply. they are obviously not reading the part in the email to reply to MY ACTUAL email address.

I cannot find a contact telephone number or anything about deleting my account. talking on the phone would be so much easier but they do not provide this information. 

if i email spotify, I WILL NEVER GET A REPLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT MY EMAIL ADDRESS OR ACCOUNT INFORMATION!!! I NEED HELP WITH THIS AS SPOTIFY OBVIOUSLY DONT WANT TO HELP ME!!

Someone else has connected your Facebook account to their Spotify account. You should change your password on Facebook if you think someone knows your Facebook login details.

 

To contact Spotify for real, log out of the website and then see the login page: https://www.spotify.com/login/

 

Don't log in. Click "Would you like to contact us before creating an account?"

I have tried this and clicked 'would you like to contact us before creating an account' and sent spotify an email but as my spotify account details are someone elses, i am not getting the replies or any help from them. 

i want to upgrade to premium but because it is someone elses details and password, i cannot upgrade. 

i think the easiest solution will be to delete my account and set up a new one. but again, i cannot get replies to my email address even though i explain the situation and provide my correct email address in the email. 

it seems that spotify are not reading my emails thoroughly enough to help me.

 

There's a separate email field if you're contacting them "before creating an account". The message shouldn't connect to any Spotify account.

 

If you want a new account. you can try signing up without Facebook. You can do that on the sign up page and clicking "create an account with email address" at the bottom of the page. That account can be later connected to Facebook if you want.

 

Still, customer support should deal with your Facebook being connected to another user's account because they can play songs and have them be sent to your Facebook profile.
