Why am I charged 12.99 through iTunes instead of 9.99 for premium service?

Hi @Dan_brandenburg. The extra $3 is used to cover the 30% that Apple takes from apps. This is actually why Spotify has disabled subscribing through iTunes for new users, and actively recommends subscribing directly through the Spotify website as opposed to iTunes.

 

If you're interested in switching over, you can see how to manage a subscription through Apple here, and once that's canceled you can enroll for premium through Spotify here. Once you switch over you'll be able to enjoy the lower monthly cost.

I just found this out. And Apple has been charging me a extra 3 dollars for 2.5 years. I was so **bleep** when I found out Apple has been stealing my money for that long. I signed up with Spotify directly and Apple some how got ahold of my account and started charging me 13.90 every month. Apple said when sorry you should of checked your account.
