Why does my spotify display no recent activity despite having selected "show my current top artists"

I have ticked both the "show my current top artists" and "publish my activity on spotify" yet when I attempt to view my profile from another account, no activity shows up. I have regularly used this spotify account for ~6 years. I would like my top artists to be available to everyone. Could it be due to the fact that it's a facebook linked account and I haven't checked the "share my activity to facebook" box?

Any suggestions?

This is odd, and no it's not related that your profile is linked to facebook 

• You can try to uncheck and check again the option, then log out and log back in the app. This should refresh Spotify and may help you with this issue 
• If the artists still now showing on your profile page, try to make a clean re-install of the app, as this usually helps for many ongoing issues like this
