Why is my premium account not working in a different country?

Why is my premium account not working in a different country?

I just moved from Germany to New Zealand for a one year stay abroad and I have a normal Spotify subsctiption. After my spotify stopped working I switched the country settings to NZ but it is still not working and keeps telling me that I only have a spotify free account.

Hi there @Windseal,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

With Spotify Premium, you can travel anywhere without having to change your account's country settings. If you'd like to resubscribe now whilst in New Zealand, you'll have to use a payment method that's been issued there (your German payment method won't do, I'm afraid, as the payment method has to be  registered in the same country to your Spotify account).

In case you're still being charged for Premium, you most likely have another Spotify account. I recommend checking out this article for more info on how to locate it and proceed further.

Hope this info helps. Cheers 🤘
