Why is my username just random letters and numbers?

When I signed up for spotify, I put my name as my username but for some reason now when I log in it says that my username isn't my name but random numbers but when I log in with my email, it says that my username is my name. So I'm just confused on what is going on?

Hi

Every account gets a User ID. If you created your Spotify account through Facebook, then it's completely normal to have numbers as your ID. Luckily you don't have to do remember these numbers since you can simply press the "Log in with Facebook" button or log in with your email.
