Wrong username

Hi!

I don’t know what’s wrong but I received a Spotify email and it says that my username is just a bunch of numbers and letters.

Something like this: 41a3hz6g6t79r2oi9

I didn’t do that and I don’t know how to change it or if it’s suppose to be like that. Do you guys know? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Hey @mare7,

As Spotify looks to improve the overall experience, they’re now automatically generating usernames, hence the random letters and numbers.

You don’t need to remember this to log in. You can access your account with your email address and password.

During signup, you were able to personalize your account by creating a profile name that’s displayed in the app. There’s no limitations to a profile name, so you were able to choose any name you like 🙂
