You can only use spotify abroad for 14 days

Hey guys,

English guy with an English phone.. Living in Australia for a year, bought Spotify in May when in the Phillipines. Some recent issues with payment (money ran out on English card linked to the spotify account) tried to sort it after I have transferred money back to my English account but it won't let me log in staying the above error message. Please help!! Thank you x

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

If your account is registered in the UK and you're currently abroad and the account is on Free service, I believe you won't be able to access your account especially if you're more than 14 days abroad. Best bet here would be for you to get in touch with Spotify Customer Support and they can switch your country to wherever you are at for a moment. Once they'v edone that, you should be able to log in to your account and update your payment/upgrade to Premium with your English card.

You'll receive that error message if your account is on Free service. You've mentioned some payment issues, I'm thinking your most recent payment didn't go through and so your account reverted to Free. That's why it's saying you're more than 14 days abroad.

Best bet here would be for you to get in touch with Spotify Customer Support and they can switch your country to wherever you are at for a moment. Hey,

Thanks for getting back to me. I should have mentioned I have spotify premium and have done since I signed up. I just don't understand why it has come up with this error message now especially as I have been overseas since I signed up for spotify. I'm tempted just to sign up again with a difference account?
