Please can someone explain why I had to pay to download the Spotify app on my iPhone? It's supposed to be free but I was asked to go via iTunes & had to confirm my card details.  

 

I Have checked my spotify account which only says I'm on the free premium trial & doesn't show any money taken for Spotify.

 

Can someone clarify what's is happening?

Hey @Nessa2,

 

You may be using the 7 day free trial. If you think you may be charged through iTunes, check that your iTunes subscriptions Auto Renewal is off for Spotify.

You can also login to your profile page, and check the status of your subscription.

Hi thanks for the response, I've gone & checked out my iTunes which confirms I don't have a renewal set up. 

 

This is us my first contact with the Spotify community & I'm very impressed with how quickly members have come forward With advice.
