just renewed my subscription on the app store, but my premium account is still not active. how long does it take???

Did you receive a receipt from iTunes? If yes, it's best to check with Apple about this. Also if you're sure you only have 1 account and it's still on Free service. - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202039
