My Question or Issue

There's an artist on Spotify that I don't listen to/don't like their music but their profile is automatically followed and everytime they release new music their music is also automatically liked. This has been happening since a quite lot of time now, I've tried to unfollow them many times and also removing the likes of the songs but then again is followed/the songs liked. This artist is called R3HAB and this issue has been happening since the realese of 'Flames' by ZAYN, R3HAB and Jungleboi around 3 years with the same problem. I really hope you can fix this because it's annoying at this point and I can't do anything to fix it myself.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome aboard to the Community! There are no artist-specific subscriptions in Spotify, so there is some other reason for this behaviour. Have you noticed any symptoms of outside access to your account? Consider securing it as shown here. If the issue persists after that, so that we may investigate this in detail, could you please provide us the following:

• Is only this artist affected?
• Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)?
• Roughly how long does it take for the artist to be re-followed after you remove them and when do songs get liked without you doing it?
• Screenshots of the behaviour

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.

Hi Joan, thank you for replying. It took me a while to reply you back but it was necessary so I can present you evidence of this situation. I collected screenshots from different days, I'm going to send them via email so you can check them.

Here! These are screenshots from different days and it just keeps repeating the same issue. Every time he releases a song his profile is automatically followed and the new release liked, and sometimes I don't notice it immediately, it is when im going to search for a song or artist, or I'm listening to my liked songs playlist and I realise im following him and all, even when I have selected "don't play this artist" option so many times.

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the screenshots you shared.

As this has been ongoing for some time now, this issue could be related to permissions of third party apps since they can manage your collection. So in this case, we'd recommend making sure to remove the access from any third party apps you've installed by logging into your Account page > Manage apps.

Hello, same thing happened to me with the same artist. I only listened to his collab with Zayn and after that all of his new music would get liked by my account and always follow him after I unfollowed. I checked what other apps has access to my account and it said R3hab is one so I deleted that. seems like he is paying or scamming
