I paid and haven't get Premium

Can't switch Family Subscriptions - help!

I created a Family account and so did my wife. I want to join hers but can't. I've tried switching accounts but the service won't let me. Do I have to let my subscription end (on 8/1) and then join my wife's account she set up?
