can't activate free premium

My Question or Issue

I have been trying to activate the 3 month free spotify premium trial and it keeps telling me "It looks like you’ve taken a trial before, which means you aren’t eligible for this offer". However, I have not used the spotify premium free trial before and there is nothing in receipts at all.

If you never had Premium trial before, that should work.

However, even if you haven't redeemed a trial but your account was on a Premium subscription before, taking a trial now will not work anymore.
