can't change country

can't change country

I am having the same problem a lot of other people seem to have had -- and I sent an email to the contact email, which replied directing me to this forum. I am not sure why my country setting is United Kingdom. It may be that I originally set up my gmail account in England in 2006, while I was visiting friends. Or maybe I signed up for Spotify on my most recent visit there, in September. But I don't live there, I live in California. I am not away from home, but Spotify won't allow me to change my country settings. When I try to I end up in the 'wrong password' loop mentioned by some other commenters. Can someone from Spotify help me with this? Do I just need to cancel my account and set up a new one? To be honest, if that's the case, I probably won't bother.

If you got an automated email reply directing you to the community, just reply directly to that email (even if it says not to) and your message will be sent to one of the customer services advisors who will be able to assist you.
