can't scrobble to last.fm

hi,

i am trying to link spotify with last.fm but Spotify keeps telling me that my last.fm credentials are incorrect even though they are not...

my last fm account name has the word "gay" in it, does spotify block gay from being used in names??

it's the only think i can think of that would be obstructing my log-in, and if that's it i find it very homophobic on their part

Hi @gayguy5000! Foremost, I can assure that Spotify isn't censoring your LastFM username. As far as your issue is concerned, I've asked around some, and the consensus seems to be that the issue is on LastFM's side. When you enter your credentials they are sent to LastFM's servers for verification, and it's those servers that are returning the error that is preventing you from linking your accounts. 

As far as solving this, you might want to try and change your LastFM password, as sometimes changes like that can resolve the underlying issue. If that doesn't work, my next suggestion would be to reach out to LastFM's support team, and see what solutions they can offer.
