can't upgrade to premium.

I have tried to upgrade 3 times in the last week and using PayPal as my payment method.. I have tried it through the android app. I already tried logging and out and reinstalling. I also tried to upgrade online on my laptop. After inputting my paypal details it just brings me back to the upgrade screen. I have received no confirmation emails. What is wrong?
