cant invite wife to family plan. cant update country

I logged into my spotify account a few days ago after many years of not touching it. Im orignally from the UK.

I liked what i seen and signed up for the family plan and invited my wife, we both live in japan.

when she tries to use the sign up link via her email it says the address is wrong. there is no set address in my account and i cant change it from UK.

Why is this so complicated, we are both on the same f**ing internet connection in our home

For anyone who has this problem I had to change my wifes new account country from Japan to UK and it accepted the invition and let her join.
