cant log in, it says no account is linked with the email put in

cant log in, it says no account is linked with the email put in

I'm trying to log in to an account for my daugter who was previously signed on via the family plan. Her iphone was restored and therefore needs to start from scratch. I have tried to log in using her email but it says that email is not linked to an account and when i try to set up an account using her email but it says that the email is already in use to sign in. so i'm just going round in circles here, HELP!!!!

It sounds like your daughter's account might have been disabled. I'd recommend checking out this Support article for the next steps to take.

Issue:

Hello Spotify Support,

I believe my account may have been compromised. I’ve been a long-time user of Spotify—using this account for years—and I’ve never experienced an issue like this until today.

 

A few hours ago, I updated the Spotify app on my device. Upon opening it, I noticed I had been signed out. Assuming it was a routine issue, I tried signing back in—but was met with an error saying:

 

"Email or username isn’t linked to a Spotify account."

 

This is extremely concerning because I have years of music, countless playlists, and listening history stored on this account. I haven’t changed any credentials or settings, and I haven’t logged in for about a week before this issue occurred.

Please help me recover this account as soon as possible. It holds a lot of sentimental value and personal data.
