change country and keep family plan

payment failed suddenly? tells me that payment method does not match country, but i cannot change the country and keep the family plan? what can i do?

whenever i try to change the country to switzerland it tells me that i am not allowd to have the family premium?

Hi there @draugster,

 

Thanks for reaching out. To change the country on a Premium account, you need to update the payment method here. Try using an incognito window and on different devices if it doesn't work. If the payment is still rejected as being from the incorrect country, then you can try cancelling the subscription, waiting for your account to revert to free, changing the country and then resubscribing with the correct payment method. You will have to set up the plan again, but nobody will lose anything.

I have the same problem and it doesn't work even trying from different devices. It won't let me change the payment method/country of my family plan and the solution I'm offered is to cancel and then re-subscribe. I appreciate the help, but I think it's ludicrous that Spotify doesn't have any other way to change the country of your family plan but cancelling your premium plan.

I want to change my country from USA to Greece but I need to keep the English language interface and the Family Premium plan. WHen I tried to do this, Spotify wants me to change my payment method , i.e. card to match the country first. So I did this, and i get sent to page indicating that my plan is the standard Premium for a single user. There is a note saying that if I want to change the plan, I am able but when I select Premium Family it tells me I am not eligible. The result is that I cannot change my payment method, I cannot change my country and am stuck having to buy spotify in one country and I am living in another valid country where Spotify is available. 

Can someone advise?
