connecting LFM profile to Spotify

I can log into Spotify (desktop) but I can't connect my LFM profile to Spotify. I have tried numerous times changing my password with no luck. Any help is much appreciated.

Is this for Last.Fm? If so, there is a help FAQ here for common problems such as logging in/password issues.

Sorry but your answer did not rectify my situation but saying this, I found next time I logged into Spotify I did not have to worry about it as it worked without applying passord or username to LFM.  Tks for your reply.
