email already in use

I have invited my partner to join family premium. She has never used spotify before. When she tried to create a new account it says email already in use. When trying the change password process the email comes back in german from spotify germany. We live in the UK. I dont think anyone in germany can have a live.co.uk email address?

Please help!

Hi carlfisher26! Try writing a DM to @SpotifyCares on twitter (if you have one) or go to this link: https://www.spotify.com/is/about-us/contact/ for profesional help they will be able to take a look under the hood 🙂

Ok we have some progress!
My partner remembers setting up a spotty account whilst in Austria a few years ago!
This explains why she got a German email back when trying to reset her password
Are you able to change to country of set up to UK so the password reset email comes through in English?

She can try going to this link: https://www.spotify.com/is/account/profile/ and change the language maybe it helps with the german mail part if it dosnt work feel free to write and well try something else!
