email not working

Spotify not letting me log in ive had my account for nearly 4 years and no problem, and when i sign up again it says the email is already taken (by me) Also when requesting a new password it says email is not associated with an active spotify account....

I have a few questions for you...

1) Have you, recently or in the past, linked your spotify to your facebook?
     A) If yes, have you tried logging in with the facebook account?

     B) If no, do you know the email originally used to then reset the password?

2) Are you getting the error with your current email address that you use to log into or are you trying to use a different email?
