fail to log in and email is not associated with an active account

Hi I am a UK user using free spotify. cannot log in or reset password, and it says "The username or email you provided is not associated with an active Spotify account." However I am sure the email and passwords are both correct. could somebody kindly help me?

Hello!

Have you tried logging in using Facebook? If your email id is the same on both, maybe you'll get access to your account.

If not, shoot an email to Spotify support!
