family account / payment problem

I want to start a family plan. I start in this page - https://www.spotify.com/us/family/


When I click on the green "Upgrade" button I land on this page - https://www.spotify.com/us/accounts/subscription/

 

The only option I have on that page is payment. Under payments I see the following: "You do not currently have a payment provider connected to your account." and the big green button "Upgrade Details". When I click on it it takes me back to the same screen.

 

I've tried it on a Windows7 machine (both IE and Chrome), on a Mac (Safari and Chrome) and the result is the same.

 

I've used spotify premium back in the day paying with paypal. Yesterday I reactivated my account, made it premium again and the payment got processed through my Apple ID (made it on the iPhone). Does this have something to do with it?

First you will have to cancel your subscription because you made it from iTunes. Then you will be able to signup for the family plan.

 

To cancel your subscription, you need to cancel it from iTunes. Your subscription is being handled by Apple.
