how to deactivate my old password forgotten account?

I am here to request assistance with an old Spotify account that I created using my Gmail address, redcated, a couple of years ago. I used this account for a few months but did not purchase any plans and have not used it recently.

Unfortunately, I have forgotten the login information for this account and am unable to access it. I attempted to use the "Forgot Password" option, but it did not work as expected.

I would like to know if it is possible to deactivate or delete the account associated with redacted so that I can create a new account and make purchases with that Gmail address.
