how to unblock accounts that you blocked

I would like to know how to unlock someone's account if I no longer have their username and it does not appear when I search for it, I blocked it by accident now I don't know what to do

Hey @wereakdq,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

You can unblock someone using the desktop app by following these steps:

1. Navigate to their profile. If you can't find them by their name, you can open their profile directly by entering spotify:user:USERNAME (replace USERNAME with their actual username) in the Search bar.
2. Select the three-dot menu.
3. Select Unblock.

On mobile, you can go to Settings and privacy > Privacy and social > Profile visibility > Blocked users. In there you can see a list of the users you've blocked, and you can take the actions mentioned above to unblock them.

Hey folks!

Are you sure they haven't blocked you in return :?
If this has happened you won't be able to find their profiles when you search for them.
The only option I can think of is asking the person to check if they can see your profile and take a look if they've blocked you as well.

What if both of us blocked each other? Neither of us can naviagte to the other's profile to unblock.

My Question or Issue

I accidentally blocked an account (account 2) that wasn’t mine, and when I went into settings to unblock account 2, my account (account 1) said I had no one blocked, but account 2 still acted as if it was blocked (meaning account 1 can no longer interact with account 2, and there is no apparent way to remedy this)

Thanks for reaching out.

Please try to unblock the other profile by directly heading to their profile and tapping the 3 dots > Unblock to see if that makes any difference and to make sure the profile you unblocked doesn't have you blocked.

However, if the profile opens as expected, and it's just the unblock itself that doesn't seem to take effect, you can give it a try from a different device or when using a different internet connection.

Yeah, thats a pretty poor design. There should be a list of blocked accounts. If both people block each other over a small disagreement, but make up, they cant unblock each other?
