i want to cancel my free account

i'm trying to cancel my free account but see no options to do so. so i looked in the forum and saw a 'rock star' saying to simply contact customer service about this, but the only customer service spotify seems to offer is this forum and something on twitter.

this is absurd. i hate when companies make it this difficult to leave them. spotify is acting like it's super easy to quit any time but that's simply not the case. there are no links to do so, there is no email option to contact customer service, and i have to create another account with another company just to ask spotify about this.

can someone please help me cancel my free account without making me sign up for other stuff i don't want? thank you.

but why is there no obvious link to that page under the 'account' tab? i shouldn't have to post on a forum just to access this kind of info.
