My Question or Issue

I recently purchased Spotify premium on a yearly basis, however, ever since I upgraded to premium my Spotify constantly pauses the music and tracks I have never seen before appear in my recently played.

I suspected that I had been hacked and went ahead and signed out all devices from my account and changed my password and disconnected facebook from my account. I also did a clean install of all instances of the application across all my devices.

However, even after all this troubleshooting the issue still persists and I cannot listen to music on Spotify anywhere.

Does anyone have any idea on what I could do to amend this issue?

Thank you

My email account has not been compromised as I have checked with multiple
emails as you suggested and have also changed email passwords and monitored
the access times and devices very carefully.

However, I have managed to find the solution to the issue which was that
when my account was compromised due to the facebook vulnerability last
year, individuals attempting to use my account for money by streaming their
songs accessed it while facebook was compromised and linked applications
that were designed to farm streams for these songs. I have gone to the apps
section on my spotify account page and disconnected all unknown apps from
my account.

Please if possible investigate the apps that were connected to my account
and block them from having a license to connect to your api.

Thank you

Hey @avengerquargon,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, have you already tried using a different email address to access your account?

Together with all the good troubleshooting you tried, you also mentioned disconnecting your account from Facebook, but it'd also be great to double-check if there's anything compromised about the email address you use to access your account.

Hope you'll find this info useful. Let us know how you get on. We'll keep an eye on your reply!
