password confusion/missing playlists

So recently I updated the Spotify app on my iPhone, and now I can't find any of my playlists under "playlists" on the phone. They're there on my Spotify on my Mac, but when I'm on my phone and try to add music to my playlists I'm told they don't exist. I've only ever logged in with Facebook and this didn't seem to be working, so I thought I'd set a password for my device and try logging in that way, but everytime I try setting a password your page tells me that there's a problem and that they can't do it. As logging in that way seems to be your advice for my original predicament, I wondered what to do now?

 

Please help me, I don't know how to fix this.

Hi there,

Make sure the email address you use to log into facebook is the same when you enter it into Spotify. Also the password you use to log into facebook is the password for Spotify. Enter your email/password manually and see if that works!

I use the same email for both spotify and facebook, but the facebook password doesn't work for spotify. 

Hm, I can't figure out what's going on.
