"Discover" forgot my listening history

I've been a premium member for a couple of years, and had been using Spotify on my PC and iPhone without any problems. Recently (maybe the start of 2014), it's like the "Discover" tab forgot everything I ever listened to. It only gives me useless recommendations like what's popular in my area and what's trending now, etc. Absolutely nothing reflecting the many hours of music I've listened to through Spotify.

What could have possibly happened and how can I fix this? I can see I'm logged in and all the other account information seems correct. My account information still has my old playlist information (but no recommendations from these playlists). I tried a fresh install of the software and it didn't fix anything. Nothing special happened to any of my devices in the meantime (aside from standard OS updates). Any ideas? I feel like its something stupid I just need to check but haven't figured out what it is yet. Thanks.

That's very strange.

Can I double check that you removed the folders specified when reinstalling: https://support.spotify.com/us/learn-more/faq/#!/article/reinstallation-of-spotify?

If not, please give that a try and keep us updated with how you get on.

No change? Let us know the operating system you're using and we'll see what else we can suggest.

I'm not sure what you're asking. That link is just instructions for removing and reinstalling ... which I already did. Though wouldn't the problems I'm having be more related to what information Spotify has saved about my history and account and not my computer? I have Spotify on a number of platforms: my desktop (Windows 7 Premium), my laptop (Windows 8.1), my iPad and my iPhone. And I'm having this problem when using Spotify on any platform.

I'm not sure what (if anything) changed. But when I logged into Spotify today, my "discover" recommendations were back to normal 🙂
