"Publish Activity on Spotify" not working

When I disable the "publish activity on Spotify", it never stays on. It automatically enables again when I turn Spotify on and my activity is showing. I dont want my activity to show, is there something wrong with my Spotify? My private session is working but i use my phone most of the time so I cant enable it. i want to have my activity permanently disabled.

Just to confirm, what device and Spotify version is this happening to?

Also, have you tried reinstalling Spotify on your device before trying again?

This is currently a known issue.
