spotify account of previous phone user still opening

Hi! I'm using my hubby's old phone. We maintain different spotify premium accounts however I can't log into my account. I have deleted and reinstalled the spotify app several times but everytime I sign-in, it always says wrong username/email but when I click the forgot password, it shows a prompt saying that I used my FB account then when I click ok, still my hubby's profile is signed in. What do I do? FB and App store in the phone were already changed to my account. Help please.

Hey @anjingc818,

Did you use Facebook to create your account?

Follow this to get a device password:

  1. Go to Facebook settings (be sure it's your account and not your friend's).
  2. Select Security.
  3. Select App Passwords
  4. Click Generate App Password
  5. Enter your current Facebook password and click Submit.
  6. Enter Spotify, and Facebook will automatically generate a password for you.

You can use it, with your Facebook email address as username, to log into Spotify directly on any device.

If you have a Spotify username, you should ask for a password reset in a different device (computer, tablet, etc). That should give you access to your account again.

Hope it helps. 🙂
