spotify randomly play music from the same chinese artist the same time everyday

hi, my account start playing songs from one chinese artist at the same time (3:54pm UTC+7) everyday for the past 4 days in a row now, and I'm not sure why.

Yes, I already change password.
Yes, I've checked nobody has controlled over what music I've played.

What more do I needed to check?

Edit: This has yet not been resolved ,seems like spotify accounts got breach to stream this chinese artist and the problem still occuring. For me I got it resolved by logging out of all devices but I don't know how others are doing.

If you got the same problem please take time to reply so the dev can see this more and eventually maybe help faster. ( but with this occurrence I'm just gonna move to apple music haha )

I have the same problem! But sometimes it even automatically plays different albums of this artist or another artist. Its really annoying and I don't know what to to about it. Please let me know if you have a solution!

Same thing happens to me.  Not a routine or a clock, but seems like a virus in spotfiy. 

It starts playing the song you note above, maybe on phone, or on any other device I've linked to before (eg Alexa, or even sonos etc at friends houses).

This can happen when I'm not using it, but also when I'm listening to my playlist and it just switches over mid song.

Clearly as we all have an issue with the same artist, they are the problem and spotify should remove them and take action.

Hi, I'm having the same issue with this Chinese artist playing. It's happened twice now, first time happened a few weeks ago - I returned home after being out to it playing on my Sonos (no music was playing when I left home). The second time happened on Saturday night, again I returned home to it playing despite not having any music playing when I left home. It seems to be switching on by itself.

Same Problem here(Germany), I've checked all automations and routines linked to my smarthome systems. There is no connection to malicious apps or something linke that. All protocols are empty. Its also the same artist and playlist but different time (2:04-2:06 pm CET).

@Spotify: maybe a attemted fraud to generate plays / generate revenue? Realy strange that all affected customers get the same Artists, Playlists.

The engineering/ops should review the logs of what triggers the scheduled play.

I am facing the same problem (I live in Germany) with exactly the same playlist / chinese music. It randomly starts playing the music and sometimes connects with my Alexa, even if I (& my cellphone) am not at home.
Did spotify prepare a solution for this issue so far?

For some reason over the last month, Chinese music has taken over my spotify. I have never listened too it and dont enjoy it whatsoever but for some reason half of my daily mixes and recommended music is this. Is there a way to remove it completely because it seems to be showing up everywhere now

I have the same problem, but mine happens multiple times if I have Spotify open late at night. if I have friends over with music on, its really annoying when my playlist gets cut off my this random Chinese song. its gotten so bad that my friends make me leave it on because its kind of funny. this had probably happened over 50 times, it will probably end up on my Spotify wrapped lol.

I have been having exactly this problem as described by the OP and others, same chinese artist. I have today search my gmail emails and found an unauthorised spotify log in from a location in Cambodia on 9th Feb. I have logged out of everything and changed my sonos, spotify and gmail passwords - hoping this will fix the issue. Maybe worth a search of your emails if you are experiencing the same issues

Hi, For some reason over the last month Chinese music has started to play on my spotify. I can start one of my playlists or listen to a random album however half way through it switches to Chinese music and this now appears under my previously played list and I can't remove it.

Any ideas how to stop this. I have spotify on my samsung phone and am on the premium level

I’ve been having the same problem!

I also logged out of all devices and changed my password but it started playing again when I had no music playing?! Usually it will skip through a song and start playing.

Have we been hacked..?
