subscription using gift card

I received Spotify as a Christmas gift, along with a card that extended my subscription for 3 months. When it expired, I entered the number I scratched off and Spotify appeared on my desktop.  Feeling I was renewed, I discarded the card.  Then when I went to use spotify by accessing it through my desktop icon, it said there was a problem with "payment".  Now I have no spotify and I cannot retrieve the card I was given.  Please reinstate me for the 3 months I am entittled to.

You can access your account by logging in with your username and password and you can view the details of your Premium subscription here, if you have one.
