My Question or Issue

 I recently deleated my facebook acount that was linked to my spotify. Today I noticed my username changes to a random sting of numers. Is this because my spotify is no longer conceted to my facebook acount or is it something else and is there a way to get my normal username back?

Welcome to the community!

When you create a Spotify account using Facebook, Spotify automatically generates a username. Once you disconnect from Facebook, your profile name changes from your Facebook profile name to your automatically generated Spotify username, hence the random numbers and letters.

You can change your profile name by creating a new account with the profile name of your choice. Once you've done that, you can get in touch with the Spotify support team using the online contact form, and they can transfer everything over to your new account.
