Hi there,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

One potential reason why Spotify might be adding songs to your playlist could be that Smart Shuffle is enabled. This is a feature that Premium subscribers have access to, which will automatically add recommended songs to your playlist. The Smart Shuffle icon appears like this when it's enabled:

You can turn off Smart Shuffle by clicking this icon again to switch to regular Shuffle, or you can click there once more to switch off regular Shuffle as well. Feel free to read more about Smart Shuffle in this support article

Another potential reason that could explain why Spotify is adding songs to your playlist could be that you’re using the free version of Spotify on the mobile app or on a tablet, and your playlist has less than 15 songs in it. In this case, Spotify will automatically add new songs to the playlist until you have 15 tracks there. Unfortunately, this behavior cannot be disabled; however, if you add more than 15 songs to your playlist, Spotify will stop adding recommended songs there.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
