why wont it let me here the songs i choose

I sing up for the premium plan but I still can't listen to the songs I pickp

Would you be able to clarify what you mean by this? 

Which songs, where are you selecting them from?

I believe I am seeing the same or a similar issue.

To reproduce:

 * Search for music using the search box (on a free or Premium account) or navigate to the Local Files tab

 * Double-click on a song from the list that loads, or click Play in the right-click context menu.

 * Nothing happens -- the song does not play.

This while "Hide unplayable songs" IS checked in the Preferences.

Some songs do play, but I am seeing this issue with the majority of songs. E.g., any Strokes song, any Moldy Peaches song, all of my local files.

This is having a bit of an impact on my satisfaction with the service 🙂

Do you get any error messages when these songs fail to play, or do they just not start? 

Have you tried performing a clean reinstallation of the client? It normally corrects any small bugs that occur. 

I would also suggest you install Apple Quicktime as some users report it solves local playback issues.
