[work around] problem subscribing with credit card in firefox due to javascript error ..

System : Windows 10

Browser : Firefox v43.0.4

I tried upgrading to premium using but it did not allow me to proceed as I couldn't select a payment method.

Symptom :

This didn't work because the website had several issues :

- selecting 'credit card' as an option resulted in a 'wait cursor' appearing

- selecting 'paypall' resulted in the website telling me I didn't have javascript enabled

If you are using Firefox then javascript is indeed disabled by default.

However I had already enabled that feature using the hidden configuration screen in Firefox ( type 'about::config' as website address).

It appears Spotify is not validating javascript feature correctly.

It probably checks if you're using Firefox and doesn't provide a functional alternative.

It is important to note that due to security issues Javascript is disabled by default.

work around :

I had to use the Microsoft Edge browser ... 😞
