After update Spotify has to download all the playlists again

My Question or Issue

Every time Spotify updates with a new version in all my playlists the "Download" button is set back to off. I have to reanble the "Download" option and it starts to download all the songs again to play offline.

This is really pissing me off as every automatic update of Spotify then uses all my data to redownload all the songs.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this is appreciated!

Sorry to hear this.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Thanks for the reply!

1) The device restarts every time I start the car.

2) I have reinstalled it a number of times and wiped the cache. I even went so far as to return the device to factory settings and wipe everything on it via recovery mode.

Any other ideas....? Thank you
