I have a dual monitor setup, and usually leave Spotify on the secondary monitor. I have noticed that once I move focus over to the primary monitor, Spotify does not update the album art, nor the track information to reflect the currently playing track.
Is this a bug or a setting I have not addressed correctly?

Could you confirm if you experience the same after performing a clean reinstall of Spotify on your device? We recommend this step for getting you the latest app version with all necessary updates.
If you see no difference after the clean reinstall, check your hosts file for entries that need to be deleted. Follow the steps described here on how you can do that.

Thanks for the reply, however the Clean Install instructions do not include ChromeOS
I'd gladly take the steps, but would prefer to take the correct ones!

We can confirm that currently we support Windows and MacOS on desktop or laptop devices. On mobile devices we support Android and iOS. You can read more here.
Since we don't have an official Chromebook app yet we can recommend you using the Spotify web player.
