Albums, artists and playlists display in random order - Android Auto

My Question or Issue

Latest update (8.4.97.807) displays all albums, artists and playlists in a completely random order when  using android auto (4.0.590434).

They all display in correct alphabetical order when not using android auto.

I've addressed the problem with spotify and they said it's got to be android auto.  Problem is I posted in AA forum but haven't been able to contact them directly.  I've noticed this problem for almost 2 weeks.  So frustrating

Cant see how android auto is the problem given that the bug only appeared in the latest release of Spotify.

Rolling back to an earlier Spotify release, while leaving android auto untouched, resolves. So I can only conclude that it's Spotify, and NOT android auto, that's the problem.

Ok so how do I roll back spotify updates and what update is the latest
without bugs

Exact same issue here. I save an album in Spotify and when I get in the car it gets almost impossible to find, as they're listed in no particular order. That search module is pretty useless, as well. I use aa in a new Honda Civic. Anyone with a solution yet?
