All playlists are empty, I can't play any songs, I didn't leave my country

When I open any playlist it says "this playlist is empty go to home to find your playlist". And when I play any single song, it just pops up below and disappears. And I didn't even go to any country, I have in fact never left my country in my whole life. What's more is that I created another account, brand new, it had the same issue. I've tried everything, nothing works please help.

All my playlists are empty is shows add to your playlists and when I do add its not playing the mobile app has this problem the web player is fine

Before coming here, I searched it and found this exact thing. But the problem is I have never left my country in my whole life, still all my playlists are empty and I can't play any songs. Please help.

I can see songs added to the playlists or in suggestions but when I tap on it it won't play and playlists are coming out to be empty..

I haven't travelled recently and my country selection is same on the website and yet I get a pop-up that I should change the country/region on the website

The exact same problem is happening for me as well, in fact this has happened for a second time. The first time it happened i only changed the country settings and it worked but now it wont even work if i fix the country settings.

My Question or Issue

Yesterday afternoon i was listening to songs when suddenly it stopped playing. I enquired and when clicked on any song it just didn't play. Like it showed up in mini player for a second and then disappeared. Happened with all songs. Also when I clicked on any playlist it showed that playlist had no songs. Even the playlists made by Spotify or some public playlist is also empty. I am only able to play local files in the app. And it's not only me, some of my friends are also suffering same issue. Please fix the issue as soon as you can.

From yesterday app is not able to play any song any podcast updated the app also reinstalled it...no changes

Hey there!

It sounds like you're logged in to a new Spotify account that's potentially on the free tier of the app! 🙂
Try logging out and back in, using the same credentials you use for your Web Player login. 
In case your issue persists, try clearing your cached data on the mobile device to see if that would make a difference.
