[Android][Chromecast Built-in] Playback freezes on Android TV only when in foreground

Ever since the Chromecast Built-in app on android TV added the background audio feature for all Chromecast compatible apps (sometime earlier this year), Spotify video podcasts stopped working on Android only when the Spotify is in the foreground. The playback seems to freeze and you get the infinite 3 loading dots instead of video. The track bar also does not progress nor does any audio play. The second you leave spotify and it becomes a background app, the audio starts playing in the background. If you go back into Spotify, it goes back to freezing and audio playback stops with no video. The odd thing is, on another device, the progress bar is progressing as usual but on the TV it's stuck at whatever second you were at when you opened Spotify in the foreground.

Just to confirm, is this happening in the TV Spotify app itself or when you're casting to the TV from any other device?

You can try logging out from your account, restarting your device(s), restarting your router, and logging back in. Any difference?
