App just closing on Pixel 2 XL

Hi! I have a 128GB Pixel 2 XL, on Android 8.1 Oreo

All of a sudden, I can be playing a song and the app will just close.. it's not the app "stopping" where it generates a feedback popup.. the app just quits, and when I reopen it, it rememebrs right where I were in the song and I can pick it up

I've hard reset my Pixel2 XL, reinstalled Spotify.. none of this had worked

It seems to have happened with the recent Spotify update, any word on a fix?

Welcome to the Spotify Community.

1. Can you try removing the app again? Then, head to My Files > Device Storage > Android > data > com.spotify.music.
2. Delete that folder and then download the app again from the Play Store.

After doing the steps above, go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Permissions > and make sure that all permissions are enabled.

Additionally, if you have a battery saving mode on your device, make sure you've added Spotify as an exception.
