Bass is super low on android 6.0.1 Alcatel Onetouch tablet

No equalizer on the alcatel if I remember. Try installing one of the equalizers available in the Play store. Equalizer seems highly recommended.

Are you using an EQ? Spotify doesn't have an eq in the Android app and only streams the track. The device handles equalization locally, so check to see if you have an eq app and adjust the sound to match your taste here.

Spotify app does have EQ in settings. I cranked the lows. I also downloaded
EQ app and did the same. Not much difference.

What are you listening through? What do other music players sound like?

Also note that the Spotify application does not have an EQ - it instead taps into the one on your device (whether it be the built-in Android one, One added by your phone manufacturer or aftermarket from the Playstore).

It may be that part of the EQ services/libs in the device are not properly linked. A clean install of the Spotify application on your device should ensure these are associated correctly.
