Battery drain Google Pixel 2

Having major issues with Spotify eating my battery on my pixel 2 XL. It is taking up to 40% of battery and phone is completely dead by 3pm from a full charge. I hadn't even used Spotify today and still it said that I had used it for 3hrs 49mins?? If I close the background it still does not make a difference either. Please help any suggestions??
