Can no longer sync with my desktop

Can no longer sync with my desktop

Ever since the major update, my desktop no longer recognizes my phone under Devices.

 

I have a Samsung S3, Spotify Music version 1.1.0.113

and a Mac, Spotify version 0.9.10.14.g578d350b

 

It was working fine under the discontinued app, and the desktop instructions 'Connect your device to the same WIFI as your computer. Then open Spotify's iPhone app or Android app to sync your music.' links back to the discontinued app. It seems like something in the Mac app didn't get updated to recognize the new Android app...? Anyhow please advise.
