My Question or Issue
When I try to disable lastFM scrobbling in the app, it appears to disable the option, and then seems to re-enable itself after some time, leading to the Wrong username/password error as I have removed the account details.

I have reinstalled the app, and issue appears to have not persisted. You may want to try this
+1 This wrong username notification is extremely annoying, as it reappears after every song even when dismissed.
I've had a few friends complain of this issue too, different android versions and one has premium, no solution so far.

Re-installing is a rubbish solution if you have Gigabytes of downloaded music.
Should we then be expected to wait hours re-downloading everything? Not to mention that some people won't have immediate access to WiFi.
A better solution would be for Spotify to fix a bug which is (a) easy to reproduce, and (b) has been around for literally years.
