My Question or Issue

Android auto will not play any songs, either through the phone or the head unit. It displays the "Getting your selection" message. It was working correctly on Monday morning, but had stopped working by the time I drove home on Monday evening

Hey there @jjgonemad,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community!

If you're having troubles with songs playing on Android Auto, we'd recommend first trying the steps below:

  • Check your car is compatible.
  • Make sure your Android phone is running Android 5.0 or above.
  • Try a different USB cable.
  • Make sure Android Auto is turned on in your car’s infotainment system. If you’re using a receiver, check with the device’s manufacturer to see if a firmware update is available.

If the problem persists, you may need to perform further troubleshooting. Check out the Android Auto Help Center.

Let us know how you get on :)
